Toddlers learn best in nurturing home environment
Hosting a Play Sense group in your home gives you the opportunity to watch your little one grow, learn and forge new little friendships – all in the safety and security of their own home. And it is surprisingly fuss-free! We place a teacher in your home and assist with all the administration. Our host homes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they all create space for the magic of Play Sense to come to life for up to 6 little ones.
How it works
- You don’t need to have a large, dedicated extension to host a group – a lounge or dining room are great spaces for groups to meet (we recommend a floor size of 4X4m).
- Once we have received your application, a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a home visit.
- The home visit helps us to place the right teacher and number of little ones in your space. We will also check that basic child safety criteria are met.
- Each day your teacher will arrive shortly before the start of ‘morning ring’ to do a quick, fuss-free set up. At the end of the morning after pick up, she will pack away and clean your space, leaving it as she found it.
- The other parents in the group are committed to keeping drop off and pick up times to prevent unexpected delays or interruptions to your daily routine.

Why host?
- Host parents qualify for a 30% discount on monthly school fees & a R500 discount on our once off placement fee.
- You don’t have to fight traffic or rush to make drop-off/pick-up times!
- Play Sense assists with legal and insurance requirements.
- You have the peace of mind that your little one is learning and connecting with friends in a safe, familiar environment.
- Your family becomes a central part of a happy little Play Sense community.
Hosting a micro-school for my children when they were toddlers was one of the best parenting decisions I’ve ever made. Being the home that my children and their friends regularly came to lasted well into their teens – and home is exactly where you want your teenagers to be.
